Thanks for posting this picture. It is the best shot I have seen on line of an open Titan door. I am interested because my father was killed on August 7, 1961 when a door fell on him at Complex 1A, silo 2 near Denver, CO. There were three others killed and 8 injured. The complex was the first of the system to on line with live missiles at the height of the Cold War. Do you have anymore photos available of the open silo? I am particularly interested in the catwalk area just below the doors. Are the doors still open? I just found out there were two other men who had just got off the catwalk moments before the accident. He has written an account of his experience. Thanks.
